Location: Western Germany

Documentation date: From spring to autumn of 2020

It has been abandoned since 1995 and is still pretty well-known in the city where it is located, so as you would expect a lot of destruction happened. Everything got cleared out a long time ago, the walls are layered with mostly poorly sprayed grafittis and the floor is littered with trash.

The area consists of a big hall where the locomotives were stored and maintained, surrounding storage and administration rooms and an outdoor train hub where the trains could get turned around. Some roofs in the adjacent storage building already collapsed, a fire destroyed the roof and second floor in another wing.

In the near future this place will get completely renovated and integrated into a new, bigger building complex. Cleanup and stabilizing of parts of the roof have already begun.
