Location: Western Germany

Documentation date: Autumn of 2020

Built in the 1960s, up to 300 Belgian NATO troops were stationed in this base until its closure in the 90s. The location has become mostly known for its former recreational features, namely a movie theatre and small bowling alley.

Other buildings in the compound include several barracks, garages, big kitchens and storage rooms, basements, a small bunker, huge chimney and radio tower. The numerous missiles that were once stored here, waiting to be fired at eastern aggressors, are obviously long gone.
Almost everything has been cleared out a long time ago and sadly a lot of vandalism took place. The basement is a spooky maze, a constant dripping of water drops echoing from the walls haunt the long, completely dark hallways.

This base is not completely abandoned anymore. One building in the back is used for storing vehicles of a company since 2019, so security has been reinforced to keep out any unwanted visitors.
